I hope you don’t mind me mixing things up a bit but today’s Friday’s Favourites is the furthest thing from colour. It is clear and colourless, the acrylic resin known as Lucite. Lucite is used widely in interiors and is right on trend in this season’s accessories. Although it has been around since the Hollywood Regency era, lucite has had a recent resurgence in popularity since Phillipe Starck introduced his Louis Ghost Chair in 2002. This chair design has been so popular and replicated many times over. It is both modern and timeless.
Monika Hibbs uses lucite pieces into her gorgeous workspace and kitchen giving a modern edge to a classic space.
These kitchen stools are the perfect choice, being lightweight and durable while remaining elegant.
Another benefit of lucite is that it is perfect to use in small spaces as it gives the appearance of taking up little or no space.

More affordable than glass, a lucite coffee table still has a sleek and glossy quality.
Lucite has many other applications, including these classic drawer pulls.
And the framework for this bathroom pedestal.

Many thanks for your well-wishes over the past few days too. Am very happy to say that I am on the mend and appreciate good health that little bit more!
Have a lovely weekend.
