We had a great week of sun and relaxation in Noosa, just what we all needed. The drive up and back was surprisingly easy thanks to Sat Nav and a good supply of DVDs for the kids.
One of the highlights was a day trip we took to Fraser Island. I did this same trip with my parents when I was younger and was still in awe of the natural beauty of this place. Driving along the pristine sand ‘highway’ in the 4 wheel drive bus was lots of fun. This was where we stopped for morning tea.
Lake Mackenzie was just as I remembered. With its white silica sand and crystal clear water. Miss 11 couldn’t resist the handstand, as you do…..
Back to reality and about 8 weeks to go until our build is finished. I have been locking in window treatment and wallpaper choices. Can’t wait to show you some finished pictures!
In the meantime, here is this week’s Friday’s Favourites inspiration. I am sharing the latest work from California design team, AGK Design Studio. This home is a great example of coastal style but with an added elegance achieved through luxe fabrics and furnishings.
I love the colours used in this living room. Once again proving that blue and green can definitely be seen together. The soft grey wall paint and white trim allow the furnishing colours to pop.
This is a functional but stylish homework station with an abundance of storage. The added detail of the trim on the roman blinds adds a designer touch.
Finally the outdoor area is simple in its styling but so effective. An outdoor rug, some colourful cushions and a striped umbrella make the perfect entertaining space.
