Camberwell Project Reveal

Well hasn’t it been a year to remember…or one to forget? Although 2021 dealt us all a fair share of blows as I reflect back, I am grateful for so many things. As people have spent so much more time in their homes these past two years, the focus and needs of ‘home’ have changed. For many, home is now so much more. It is doubling as a workplace but also a sanctuary. I have be fortunate to have been able to connect with clients via Zoom or through meetings on a front verandah, to keep projects progressing and help them create their sanctuary.

After many postponed photoshoots, I can finally share my Camberwell Project Reveal.

The brief from my client was to create a functional home (with lots of storage!) with a timeless aesthetic for a family of four. In renovating the heritage listed house, we doubled the footprint as well as built an additional storey.

I started with the kitchen, choosing a black and white palette to highlight the steel framed doors in the adjoining living area. Chrome industrial pendants and shaker profile cabinetry keep the classic look and chippendale barstools add a more contemporary feel.  Camberwell Project Reveal

The steel framed doors are a beautiful feature of the living area. I softened the overall look with textured sheer curtains.

Camberwell Project Reveal To create this powder room oasis, I used a blue floral wallpaper and classic cabinetry and accessories.

I selected a neutral palette of grey and white in the bathroom and added colour through the accessories. The freestanding bath is a beautiful feature under the window.

My client had a few pieces of art they had collected over the years. In the stair void we added a long bench seat and created a gallery to feature their collection.

The Al Fresco is the perfect indoor-outdoor living space. Furnishings were selected to enable easy and comfortable summer entertaining.

It has been a wonderful year for Gallerie B Interiors with two Home Beutiful magazine features which you can see (here) and (here). As well as the growth of the team with my new assistant Marnie coming on board.
